Varanger Brygge is a family business established in 2020. Through the establishment, we want to facilitate tourist fishing and food experiences around the Varangerfjord. With modern locations and boats, we give guests the opportunity to explore fishing spots in the Varangerfjord and process their catches at state-of-the-art facilities.
We offer very good and comfortable accommodation with a strong focus on both location and high standards. We also provide fishing facilities in local mountain lakes and rivers around the Varangerfjord.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Bug\u00f8ynes<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Bug\u00f8ynes has a unique history that started with Finnish immigrants in the 1800s. A fishing village and a community were established that made a good living from fishing from the Varangerfjord. During World War II, Bug\u00f8ynes was spared from burning, this unfortunately in contrast to many other local communities in Finnmark. This means that today at Bug\u00f8ynes we find a unique building mass with many older buildings from the early 1900s and late 1800s. The population was between 500 and 600 people from the late 1800s to the mid-1970s. Then many of the families had their income from the Varangerfjord or the local local fishing industry company. Since then, the population has declined steadily and now counts approx. 200 people. Despite this, Bug\u00f8ynes has managed to create a good foundation in fishing where more fishermen are also recruited. Delivery of king crab and white fish to our two fish receptions are important jobs in the village. There is also a large increase in the number of tourists who take the trip to Bug\u00f8ynes to experience the place with its unique location, uniqueness and history. Bug\u00f8ynes is located 100 km from both Kirkenes and Vads\u00f8 and can be easily reached by car or bus. Alternatively, we at Varanger Brygge can pick you up by sea.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

At Bug\u00f8ynes there is a shop open 6 days a week where all necessary food can be purchased. Bug\u00f8ynes has its own Bistro and pub which is open every day. Here you can enjoy both good food and local drinks. Otherwise, Varanger Brygge wants to contribute to further growth for the business community in Bug\u00f8ynes which in turn contributes to the further existence of Bug\u00f8ynes as a vibrant local community in S\u00f8r-Varanger municipality.<\/p>

In the longer term, it is an overriding goal that Varanger Brygge is the natural choice for tourist fishermen who want to get in close contact with the good fishing opportunities we have in the area. We will create excitement through unique experiences where the town with its history and location forms the framework and foundation for the business. And that other localities around the Varangerfjord can be used to have the opportunity for other types of fishing.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
